Charlottenburg
Charlottenburg was always Berlin's most cosmopolitan neighborhood. With Kurfürstendamm, where the upper class came to shop at KaDeWe (Kaufhaus des Westens), and have lunch at one of the many nearby bistros. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, Charlottenburg fell into disrepair, but today the neighborhood has regained its popularity, largely thanks to concept-mall Bikini Berlin and the adjoining 25hours Hotel.
In addition to beautiful shopping streets, Charlottenburg also has several great photography museums. Savignyplatz will make you feel like you're in Paris, and is the perfect place to stop for coffee.
