King’s Cross
King’s Cross was plagued by prostitution and crime as recently as the 1990s, but since the arrival of the Eurostar high-speed railway service in 2007, this area has undergone a massive transformation. Behind King’s Cross Station an entirely new neighborhood has gone up, complete with luxury apartment buildings, stores and offices. Google
even opened its massive London headquarters here in 2016. Granary Square is another great example of the recent development, surrounded by renovated warehouses, that are now home to cool restaurants and the art students of Central Saint Martins. The square is home to festivals, concerts and events year-round.
