This district is especially popular among young people. You will find a cosy square and many cafés and street food stalls.
If you're looking for a vibrant and lively district, this is the place to be. Piazza Santa Croce is the centre of the Santa Croce district. While the Basilica di Santa Croce attracts many tourists to the district during the day, it is mostly frequented by young locals at night. Also, every year on 24 June, the centre's four neighbourhoods compete here to win at the Calcio Fiorentino, a costumed football match that has been played for six hundred years. You'll also find plenty of cafés and restaurants here. And don't miss Via dei Neri, a veritable walhalla for street food lovers.
