Bonfim shows Porto's urban side. Ideal for lovers of shopping, architecture and good food and drink.
This neighbourhood is where you'll get in touch with Porto's urban side. You'll come across the city's biggest shopping street, Rua Santa Catarina, as well as the Bolhão market hall, where you'll find many typical Portuguese shops such as shoe shops and pastry shops. A little further from the centre is a park where old gentlemen sit and play cards all day. Around Poveiros, you will find many vintage shops in addition to hip cafés. Thanks to the Faculty of Fine Arts and the hip scene in Maus Hábitos, among others, this is an area where Porto's artists like to meet.
