Albaicín is the nicest district to wander around in. Narrow streets, white houses, and sometimes you suddenly have a view of the extraordinary Alhambra.
The Albaicín district is the old Moorish quarter located on the hill next to the city centre. Walk up through the narrow streets with typical white houses to the Mirador de San Nicolás viewpoint, one of the best places to see the Alhambra. In this district, Arab influences are evident in the many shops and teterias (teahouses). There are also several museums to learn more about the city's history, such as the oldest Arab bath house El Bañuelo.
