This district is also great fun to visit in the evening; enjoy drinks and tapas among the locals.
Realejo is a special neighbourhood located below the Alhambra. During the Nasrid period, this was the city's Jewish quarter, but after the reconquest of the city in 1492, the Jewish people were expelled. For a long time, this part of the city was empty, but it has now come alive and is one of the most diverse neighbourhoods in the city. Graffiti art typifies the streetscape and you will find many streets full of tapas bars, including one of the city's most famous streets: Calle Navas. Feel like a night out? Then you can also discover Granada's nightlife in this district, especially around Calle Ganivet.
