This is the place to be if you want to experience the luxury side of Marrakech. The district lies just outside the city walls of the old medina. Among the palm trees are Marrakech's most beautiful and expensive hotels. Even if you don't spend the night here, it's worth eating out at one of Marrakech's better restaurants. Lounging, dining in style, sipping cocktails and later in the evening a DJ: this is where it happens. The well-to-do Marrakchi drive past the terraces here in their SUVs. Measure yourself in big sunglasses and join in the seeing and being seen. The dress code from the medina (no bare shoulders and legs) clearly does not apply here.
