The industrial district of Sidi Ghanem has been around since the 1980s and has slowly developed from a raucous neighbourhood of mostly studios into a versatile place where you can spot everything. From overstuffed depots to exclusive designer shops; head here if shopping is the main purpose of your city break to Marrakech. Bicycles come in handy. Because even within the district, shops can be quite far apart. You'll also find some fine eateries to take a break in between.
