Beach walks, eating herring, water sports, watching boats and going out or hanging out on the terrace: you can do it all here. Entertain yourself or be entertained. For instance, after a trip along the tide line, you can join one of the many beach bars, or take a surfing lesson and go out at night on the Noorderstrand. Scheveningen is one of The Hague's most mixed neighbourhoods. You will find purebred Scheveningers, young families, kiters, surfers and wealthy people living in flats with a sea view. It doesn't mix, but goes together just fine because of the same love: the sea.
