Take a pleasant stroll along Bergmannstraße, relax on a bench at Chamisso Square, and dip your feet in the waterfall at Viktoriapark.
Kreuzberg 61 is the neighbourhood for you if you want to discover Berlin at a relaxed pace. A large part of the neighbourhood was spared from bombing. This means that in the Bergmannkiez, around Bergmannstraße and especially Chamissoplatz, you can get a good idea of what the city looked like before the war. It is a wonderful neighbourhood to walk through, while stopping here and there at one of the many cosy terraces or benches in the squares. Be sure to walk up Kreuzberg in Viktoriapark. This is the highest natural hill in the city.
