If you love nature as well as culture, this is your place.
Whether it belongs to Arnhem or not, opinions are divided on that, but officially the village is in the municipality of Arnhem. It forms the transition from the urban area to the Hoge Veluwe. The Kempenbergerweg road takes you to the Schaarsbergen entrance to Hoge Veluwe National Park. On the way, you pass a lovely little church that can be considered the village centre; this is where village activities such as Koningsdag and a Christmas market take place. Both are well worth a visit. And nature, with plenty of forest and heathland, also makes this place a draw.
