El Gòtic is a neighbourhood that is always buzzing. I really enjoy living there, close to the beautiful Plaça Reial.

Looking for the vibrant heart of Barcelona? Then this is the place to be. It is the city's oldest district. Among its medieval streets are the remains of the old Roman city. Centuries-old buildings and church buildings alternate around the Catedral de la Santa Creu i Santa Eulàlia. The district is not called the Cathedral Quarter for nothing. The former Jewish quarter, El Call, is also located here. Plaça Reial - perhaps Barcelona-'s most beautiful square - along with its immediate surroundings is a favourite with night owls. In El Gòtic, there is no shortage of nice restaurants and cafés, and street food lovers can also indulge themselves.

Which hotel in El Gòtic do you choose?

Don't feel like spending hours searching for the perfect hotel and still be sure you're in the right place? We have selected only the finest from the multitude of hotels and B&Bs in El Gòtic.

    • Hotel

      Barcelona Hotel Colonial

Stately hotel with the comforts of today and the atmosphere of yesteryear. Its location between city and beach makes it a good base.

    • Hotel

      Suizo

Fine hotel in the lively El Gotic district. Fine beds too. Light sleepers should expect some street noise at night. Here it goes on until the early hours.

    • Hotel

      Catalonia Avinyo

Fine hotel in the narrow streets of El Gotic. In the heart of Barcelona, between all kinds of shops, restaurants and squares.

    • Hotel

      Rialto

Good hotel middeinn the lively El Gotic. Some rooms have a nice, small balcony. Breakfast is extensive, although there are plenty of options nearby.

    • Hotel

      Twenty By Pillow

Newly renovated, lovely beds and good shower. You walk to the Ramblas via a nice breakfast spot. Basic but good!

    • Hotel

      H10 Raco del Pi

Location, location and location; those are the three reasons to choose this hotel. Breakfast is better done outside the door. Plenty to choose from.

    • Hotel

      Citadines Ramblas Barcelona

You stay on the Ramblas, so it doesn't get more central than this. The rooms are well insulated, so night noise won't bother you much. Busy, but close to everything.

    • Hotel

      Catalunya

Basic hotel with spacious rooms. The location, just below Plaça Catalunya is central. They don't serve breakfast, you do that in one of the many joints nearby.

    • Hotel

      Nouvel

It feels a bit old-fashioned and you shower in a bath, but the location of this hotel is very good. Some rooms have lovely balconies or beautiful tiled floors.

    • Hotel

      Hcc Montblanc

Nothing fancy. You sleep here centrally and affordably. For the rest, head into town.

    • Hotel

      Denit Barcelona

Nice location in El Gotic. Plenty of restaurants for dinner and breakfast nearby. Good to know: the fine beds may be a bit short for tall people.

    • Hotel

      Catalonia Port

Here you are super central, in the El Gòtic district, about 10 minutes' walk from the beach. Not a hip, but good hotel with nice beds and a full breakfast.

    • Hotel

      Hotel Cantón

Basic, affordable hotel ideally located close to the port and the Ramblas. You can also easily walk to the nice neighbourhoods of El Born and El Raval.

    • Hotel

      Hesperia Barri Gòtic

Enjoy the city's street sounds from your French balcony in El Gotic before diving into the bustling life. Here it is possible!
