Take a lovely stroll down Bergmannstraße, relax on a bench at Chamissoplatz and dip your toes in the waterfall at Viktoriapark.
Kreuzberg 61 is the neighbourhood for you if you want to explore Berlin at a leisurely pace. A large part of the neighbourhood was spared from bombing. As a result, in the Bergmannkiez, around Bergmannstraße and particularly at Chamissoplatz, you get a good impression of what the city looked like before the war. It’s a lovely neighbourhood to stroll through, whilst you can take a seat here and there at one of the many cosy terraces or on the benches in the squares. Don’t forget to take a short walk up Kreuzberg in Viktoriapark. This is the city’s highest natural hill.
