The place for artists and hipsters, full of studios, pop-up shops, coffee bars, craft beer and the best rooftop terrace.
Neukölln is the neighbourhood for anyone looking for a vibrant district with a bit of an edge. It is currently perhaps the most diverse neighbourhood in the city. As the area has been on the up in recent years, there is still plenty of physical and creative space. The old airport is now a park, and an old village with a pretty village square has been incorporated into the city. Perched atop a rather dull shopping centre is a cool rooftop bar, and there are plenty of new bars and lovely restaurants. Not so long ago, this was a neighbourhood under development, but Neukölln has now become an indispensable part of the list of Berlin neighbourhoods you simply must visit.
