Here you can go out on the gay scene, search for antiques, eat all day long and stroll around Berlin's very largest market.
This is an ideal district if you are looking for a cosy, atmospheric and green neighbourhood. Nice squares among beautiful old buildings with coffee shops, playgrounds and the largest market in all of Berlin. There are also some very nice antique shops in this district. And the choice of nice restaurants, cafés and bars is huge. David Bowie once wrote some of his most famous songs in Schöneberg, Marlene Dietrich was born here and Kennedy gave his famous 'Ich bin ein Berliner' speech in Schöneberg's Rathaus. The gay scene has made this district its own. Consequently, the streets are more than once brightened by the rainbow flag.
