This is the district if you love upscale shopping, art museums, interesting restaurants and cocktail bars.

New Town is your district if you like (luxury) shopping and elegant architecture. The district was built in the 18th century as an extension of the city and now serves mainly as a residential area for wealthy residents and as a shopping area of the city. New Town's wide streets and beautiful architecture create a special atmosphere and a sense of grandeur. The district offers an array of shops such as upmarket department store Harvey Nichols and elegant cocktail bars like Bramble. It is also home to a number of interesting museums and galleries such as Scottish National Portrait Gallery.
