Formentera is Ibiza's paradise sister. Even bluer waters, beautiful coves and so much fun for cycling. Ideal day out!
Arriving on Formentera by ferry, you immediately feel that it is a very different island from Ibiza. It is smaller, more idyllic, the sea is even bluer, the villages more charming and the beaches are quite paradisiacal. Grab a bike and explore the island by cycling along the small dirt roads and dune paths to pretty coves. Walk through the beautiful white village of San Francesc Xavier towards the square with the church and enjoy little buildings full of brightly coloured bougainvilleas. Don't expect clubs or commercial chain shops here, but rather lovely beach clubs and rustic cottages. So you can imagine what Ibiza felt like 100 years ago.
