Palacio is the neighbourhood surrounding the Palacio Real, the royal palace which, with its imposing façade and rich history, is one of the city’s main attractions. To the west lies Casa de Campo, where you can leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind for a while in the city park of the same name. Take a walk or cycle through the leafy Madrid Río park along the River Manzanares, or take the cable car for views over the city. In Palacio, amongst historic buildings and charming squares, you’ll find plenty of cafés and restaurants to settle down in.
