The popular Chueca neighbourhood is the beating heart of the LGBTIQ+ scene: colourful, open-minded and anything but staid. Many of the bars, restaurants and shops celebrate diversity and inclusivity, and in June and July this is the epicentre of Orgullo (Pride). The heart of the neighbourhood is Plaza de Chueca, which is always buzzing. During the day, you can relax on a terrace or stroll through the narrow streets past boutiques and coffee bars. In the evening, there’s a wide range of great bars and restaurants. It’s also a great place to go out. Whether you fancy a cocktail bar, a wine bar, a gay bar or a nightclub: there’s something for every night owl.
