Retiro is a neighbourhood for art lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. On the Paseo del Prado, Madridās stately promenade, youāll find Madridās āGolden Triangleā. The triangle comprises three world-famous museums: the Museo del Prado, the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Museo Reina SofĆa. There is plenty to see outside the museums too: the boulevard is lined with magnificent buildings. The rest of the neighbourhood is chic and peaceful, with the Parque del Buen Retiro as its green heart. Admire the Palacio de Cristal, hire a rowing boat or settle down on a bench amongst the trees. At the weekend, the park really comes to life with street musicians and other performances.
