In La Malagueta, you can go for everything: beach, culture, shopping and good food and drink - you'll never get bored here.
In the 19th century, La Malagueta was an industrial area with many factories and wineries. Today, the area is lovely. The promenade leads down to Muelle Uno, the port area with shops and restaurants. If you want to soak up culture, Centre Pompidou Málaga is the place to be. Probably the district's biggest attraction is the beach of the same name, Playa de la Malagueta. Here you can go for a swim, or eat or drink at one of the beach bars(chiringuitos).
