As a lover of art and culture, Soho is the place to be. The district 'Soho, Barrio de las Artes' literally translates as the district of the arts. More cities around the world have Sohos, often somewhat arty neighbourhoods. The idea for Soho emerged in Málaga in the late 00s. People wanted to turn the former deprived neighbourhood into an artistic one. One of the initiators was the director of the contemporary art museum CAC, which also stands in this neighbourhood. Projects were organised, including the MAUS, in which various artists were invited to create murals on walls of buildings.
