A creative and cultural district with a warren of small streets and shops to explore.
Once this East Village/ LES was an overcrowded, dirty neighbourhood; now it is one of New York's most beloved districts. Foodies and explorers flock here to wander the alleys hoping to stumble upon a hidden restaurant or sample scrumptious street food. Chinatown was once a dangerous slum. But has long since shaken off that bad image. Today, this neighbourhood is crowded with young New Yorkers because of its many shops and restaurants.
