Cosy cafés, vegetarian food and the coolest new trends: that’s why you should head to Williamsburg.
For a vibrant, creative neighbourhood with an alternative vibe, Williamsburg is the place to be. You’ll find the neighbourhood just across the East River. What was an uninhabitable area until the early 1990s is now one of the most enjoyable and expensive neighbourhoods in Brooklyn. You can go shopping there and find plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants, as well as delicious street food. Be sure to pop into one of the galleries too. Williamsburg is a melting pot of nationalities and age groups. International students, young couples and families live here side by side. Despite its popularity, it still retains the raw charm you’d expect from Brooklyn.
