Montparnasse is an urban and lively neighbourhood with a creative atmosphere, thanks to the artists who settled there in the 1920s. The crowd here consists mainly of young people, including many locals and very few tourists. The neighbourhood is bustling all day long. Charming cafés and bars add colour to the streets; there’s something to see everywhere, and prices here are slightly lower than in other parts of the city.
