Blijdorp is a haven for young families with good taste, which means there are lovely shops and restaurants. There’s no shortage of coffee bars here!
The Blijdorp neighbourhood is situated on the other side of the railway line in Rotterdam-Noord. This is a haven for young families with good taste. In recent years, many lovely little shops, coffee bars and other catering establishments have opened here especially for them. With its green spaces, both large and small, the bustle of the big city feels far away, whilst it is all just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre. The Vroesenpark, with its lunch and drinks spot, the Vroesenpaviljoen, is a fine example of this. Incidentally, the neighbourhood’s name features in one of the country’s biggest attractions: Diergaarde Blijdorp, Rotterdam’s modern zoo.
