Once you’ve passed through the charming Oude Westen, you’ll naturally find yourself in the Nieuwe Westen. In this lively neighbourhood, you’ll find a delightful mix of stately avenues and leafy canals alongside trendy, multicultural businesses. You’ll come across it all as you meander at your leisure along the long streets. If you cross the River Schie, you’ll pass through Spangen and Bospolder-Tussendijken (BoTu) before arriving in the old Merwe-Vierhavens. In this former port area, cargo handling still takes place, but space has been made in between for the growth of sustainable and innovative start-ups.
