This up-and-coming neighbourhood in San Sebastián, Gros is located on Zurriola, the city's surf beach. This beach attracts a lot of young people in summer. It is an authentic working-class neighbourhood, traditionally home to many surfers and students. You often see them walking or cycling from the neighbourhood to the beach with their surfboards under their arms. Recently, more and more new bars and restaurants have been popping up in Gros: trendy eateries serving the most original pintxos (Basque tapas), sometimes combined with international flavours. At the end of the surf beach, you can walk with views of surfers, sea and sunset.
