No one ever tires of the long, shell-shaped Bahía de la Concha, surrounded by green mountains. Not even the locals!
La Concha has often been hailed by the international press as the most beautiful beach cove in Europe. And all this in a city! From this vast, golden-yellow beach, you can see Monte Igueldo (on the left), Isla de Santa Clara (in the centre of the bay), the old town and the harbour along Monte Urgull, topped by the statue of Christ. It’s a lovely place to be at any time of year; in summer, you can even swim out to the island. Halfway through the swim, there are wooden platforms with a slide into the water. La Concha is the city’s ultimate place to relax, with its elevated promenade and numerous terraces.
