No one ever tires of the long, shell-shaped Concha beach cove, surrounded by green mountains. Not even the locals!
This bay has often been praised by the international press as the most beautiful bay in Europe. And all this in a city! From this vast, golden-yellow beach, you can see Mount Igueldo (on the left), the island of Santa Clara (in the middle of the bay), and the old town and harbour along the Urgull hill, topped by the statue of Christ. It is a lovely place to walk in any season, and in summer you can even swim out to the island. Halfway along the swim, there are jetties with a slide into the water. La Concha is the city’s ultimate relaxation spot, with its beautiful elevated promenade and numerous terraces.
