In the relatively unknown El Porvenir, foodies are in for a treat. The upcoming neighbourhood is a hip hotspot in Seville.
For a vibrant, upcoming neighbourhood, El Porvenir is the place to be. The still relatively undiscovered neighbourhood emerged in the 1920s around the vegetable gardens of El Prado. Well-known local architects built beautiful regionalist villas for wealthy families there, and during the industrial revolution, many factories sprung up as well. The beautiful ceramic azulejos on some facades are a reminder of this. Foodies, in particular, are in for a treat here; the neighbourhood is rapidly putting itself on the gastronomic map. Many hip bars have modern cuisine where flavours and textures are combined into surprising tapas and dishes.
