Beach walks, eating herring, water sports, watching boats, going out or hanging out on the terrace: you can do it all here. Entertain yourself or be entertained; for instance, after a trip along the tide line, you can join one of the many beach tents, or take a surfing lesson and go out on the Noorderstrand in the evening. Scheveningen is one of The Hague's most mixed neighbourhoods. You will find purebred Scheveningers, young families, kiters, surfers and wealthy people living in flats with a sea view.
