Don’t be put off by the crowds of tourists. With *Time to Momo* in hand, you’ll discover the most unique spots in the city centre.
The City Centre is the perfect neighbourhood for you if you prefer to stay right in the heart of the city. Amsterdam owes much of its fame to the Canal District, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2010. The Centre offers endless shopping opportunities – think of Kalverstraat, where you’ll mainly find large chains. But amidst all this hustle and bustle, you’ll also find some particularly beautiful spots, such as the Begijnhof, the Hermitage and the Amsterdam Museum. The Red Light District is the oldest part of the city; here, you can’t escape the stag and hen parties. The Zeedijk and Nieuwmarkt, popular with locals too, are home to countless lovely eateries, bars and Asian shops.
