I come here to stare at the beautiful cathedral, catch a film at arthouse cinema Cartoon's or sip cocktails at Dogma.
Do you prefer to stay in the heart of the city? Then the Historical Centre is the district for you. It is the most visited district where you will find many sights and restaurants. Get lost in the narrow, cobbled streets until you reach the Grand Place with its guild houses and the impressive Renaissance Town Hall. Check out the statue of Brabo throwing a hand and in doing so immediately defined the city's name. After all, 'throwing hands' is close to Antwerp. You will also find Hendrik Conscienceplein, one of the city's liveliest squares. The historic centre borders the student district, so it's busy during the week.
