Buda has always been one of the more upmarket neighbourhoods. This is evident, amongst other things, from the highly educated, tastefully dressed and cosmopolitan local population. Most of the city’s attractions are also located here. All this makes it just a little more expensive here than in the rest of Budapest. Green spaces are scarce in the city, but in Buda you’ll find them in abundance. The neighbourhood is popular not only for its tranquillity, but also for its many excellent cafés and restaurants. During the day it is busy and bustling; in the evening it has the atmosphere of a peaceful village.
