Vesterbro is the neighbourhood for you if you are looking for a trendy and lively area. Originally a working-class neighbourhood, in recent years it has grown into one of the trendiest areas of Copenhagen. What used to be a run-down neighbourhood has now been completely transformed. More and more young people are moving to the neighbourhood, and the streets and buildings have been rigorously renovated. Now Istedgade, Vesterbrogade and Sønder Boulevard are pleasant and attractive streets full of beautiful shops, good restaurants and trendy design boutiques. In addition, Kødbyen, a former industrial area, is the new entertainment centre of Copenhagen.
