La Judería, or the Jewish Quarter, is the historic centre of Cordoba. This is a district full of history where Moors, Christians and Jews lived together for a long time. Hence, you will come across many traces of that period here, including the Mezquita Catedral and the Sinagoga de Córdoba. Besides being home to the main attractions, this is also the perfect district if you are looking for nice shops, such as those in Calle Deanes or Calle Cespedes. In the less touristy area on the banks of the river Guadalquivir, you'll find plenty of pavement cafés and bustle.
