Get a drink and enjoy live music from Piazzale Michelangelo and the sunset that turns the whole city orange.
If you are looking for a cosy, authentic Florentine neighbourhood, San Niccolò is the place to be. It is an old residential neighbourhood located at the bottom of the famous Piazzale Michelangelo. Frequented by working locals in the morning and at lunchtime, the bars are populated by local youngsters in the evening. You will also find plenty of street art in this neighbourhood and the studio of the artist Clet, who brightens up road signs with stickers. From the neighbourhood, a steep road leads up to Piazzale Michelangelo and the Basilica di San Miniato al Monte.
