If you like modern architecture, Guillemins is the place to be!
The Guillemins district is characterised by modern architecture. There is almost chronic carpentry and construction here. The district is home to one of Liège's biggest sights: the railway station. This masterpiece by Calatrava is the city's most photographed building and definitely worth a visit. There is also plenty to see and do near Gare de Liège-Guillemins, for example the Tour Paradis (Tower of Finance), Design Station and La Belle Liégeoise, the new pedestrian bridge connecting Guillemins with Parc de la Boverie. In Rue des Guillemins, the street towards the city centre, there are numerous nice delicatessens.
