The seaside resort of Cascais is 30 kilometres from Lisbon. You can get there from Cais do Sodré station in 40 minutes: a nice train ride along the coastal Costa de Estoril. Once in Cascais, you can stroll around authentic buildings and squares or hire a bike and get a breath of fresh air at the Boca do Inferno. In the centre you will find the Mercado da Vila with fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. Walk or bus out of the centre to the popular Guincho surf beach. Still in Cascais at the end of the day? Then watch the sunset from the beach or a terrace.
