The cosy seaside resort of Cascais is 30 kilometres from Lisbon. You can get there from Cais do Sodré station in 40 minutes: a nice train ride along the coast, Costa de Estoril. In Cascais, you can walk around authentic buildings and squares or hire a bike and get a breath of fresh air. In the centre you will find the city market with lots of shops and fresh fish. There are also nice terraces, restaurants, cultural attractions and a beautiful park. When you leave the centre, you can walk or bus to the popular surf beach Guincho.
