If you prefer to explore Lisbon from a quieter neighbourhood, this is the place to be. The São Bento district is home to the Portuguese parliament. It is also home to many antique shops, some owned by the same family for generations. Next to São Bento is one of Lisbon's wealthier neighbourhoods: Estrela. This neighbourhood is best known for the Basilica da Estrela and the beautiful Jardim da Estrela. With exotic plants, cafés and a playground, this park is a nice place to relax in the greenery. The Campo de Ourique district has a cosy atmosphere and is home to a famous landmark: the house of poet Fernando Pessoa.
