If you prefer to explore Lisbon from a quieter neighbourhood, this is the place to be. The São Bento district is home to the Portuguese parliament. It is also home to many antique shops, some owned by the same family for generations. Next to São Bento is one of Lisbon's wealthier neighbourhoods: Estrela. It is best known for the Basilica da Estrela and the beautiful park Jardim da Estrela. With exotic plants, beautiful playground and cafés, this park is a perfect place to relax in the greenery. Campo de Ourique has a cosy atmosphere. The district has a famous landmark: the house of poet Fernando Pessoa.
