If you love shopping and art, Presqu'île with its concept stores, antique shops and Musée des Beaux Arts is your district.
Presqu'île is the district for shopping-lovers: shop til you drop. From expensive French luxury brands around Place Bellecour, well-known standard brands in Rue de la République to original concept stores and antique shops in Rue Auguste-Comte. On Saturdays, you can walk over the heads here. Furthermore, it is the neighbourhood home to the magnificent City Hall, full of golden decorations. Also on Place Terreaux, you'll find the Musée des Beaux Arts, with a fine collection of Egyptian artefacts and a surprisingly peaceful courtyard. At Place des Célestins, you can admire a very cool artwork by Daniel Buren in a car park, really worth a diversion.
