If you dream away at the Middle Ages, love tracking through narrow streets and covered passages, this is your district.
If you love medieval buildings with spiral staircases, ochre-coloured facades and secret passages, then Vieux-Lyon is the place to be. The district is a Unesco World Heritage Site and the place to find the famous traboules: inconspicuous passages seen from outside, connecting different blocks of houses, enormously surprising inside. There are also interesting museums, such as the Musée des Arts de la Marionnette and the Musée Cinéma et Miniature. The old Cathédrale Saint-Jean with its astronomical clock is a must-see and what is also fun to do: take the funiculaire, the little funicular, all the way up Fourvière Hill.
