If you dream away at the Middle Ages, love tracking through narrow streets and covered passages, this is your district.
If you love medieval buildings with spiral staircases, ochre-coloured facades and secret passages, then Vieux-Lyon is the place to be. The district is a Unesco World Heritage Site and the place to find the famous traboules: inconspicuous passages, seen from the outside, connecting different blocks of houses. Inside, they are hugely surprising. There are also interesting museums, such as the Musée des Arts de la Marionette and the popular Musée Miniature & Cinema. The old Saint Jean cathedral with its astronomical clock is a must see and what is fun to do: take the funicular, the underground line, all the way up Fourvière Hill.
