You certainly shouldn’t miss these neighbourhoods if you want to mingle with the locals, who frequent the many restaurants and bars there.
Cedofeita and Vitória – commonly known simply as Cedofeita – make up a diverse part of the city that is popular with both locals and tourists. Breathtaking views of the Douro, strolling through spacious parks and soaking up the city’s atmosphere: you could certainly spend an extra day here. This area stands out for, amongst other things, the Galeria de Paris nightlife district, the abundance of street art, the art scene in and around Rua de Miguel Bombarda, and a lovely variety of outdoor cafés. The restaurants here are just a touch less conventional than in the other neighbourhoods.
