In the stately Prati district, you can shop incredibly well without being overwhelmed by tourists.
If you love culture, good food and shopping, this is the place for you. After visiting the Vatican City, walk down Borgo's most characteristic street, Borgo Pio, and into the lively Prati district. Prati is quite chic, with stately residential blocks, wide streets and graceful trees. The central shopping street Via Cola di Rienzo is loved by locals thanks to its wide selection of designer shops, small boutiques and trendy restaurants. Piazza Cavour is a feast for the eyes, with the imposing Corte Suprema di Cassazione at its centre. Rome's only castle, Castel Sant'Angelo, is also well worth a visit.
