Algírós is the lively part of the city, where more than 60,000 students live, go out and study.
Algiros is the liveliest part of the city. A large part of the University of Valencia is located here. The University of Technology and the faculties of Law and Economics are situated on either side of Avenida de los Naranjos. The university campus is a town in its own right, with restaurants, a bank, a hairdresser’s, the library, sports fields and several parks. Many students have halls of residence between the university and Avenida Blasco Ibáñez. In the evenings, they can be found in and around Plaza Honduras and Calle Serpis, where there is a wide choice of restaurants and bars.
