Sant Antoni

View on the map

Sant Antoni is really upcoming. It started with gastro bars and hipster cafés, now more and more shops are also opening their doors.

This is the ideal district if you want to discover Barcelona from a slightly less touristy spot and 'good eating out' is high on your list of priorities. It is not a district of famous sights, but that has its advantages: you are often among only locals. The modernist market hall forms the lively centre. On Sunday mornings, there is a second-hand book market. Carrer del Parlament is also worth a visit; this is where the locals come to eat. In recent years, one restaurant after another has opened on this street. The result is a hugely diverse culinary offer, usually of excellent quality.
