Located in the heart of the Dorsoduro district nestled among restaurants, shops and artisan boutiques, and a short stroll from the Grand Canal, is Avani Rio Novo Venice Hotel, formerly known as NH Venezia Rio Novo. The building, which dates back to the 50s and 60s, is designed in Razionalismo Italiano style featuring sleek lines and geometric shapes. Perfectly placed for both business and leisure, the hotel is located in what’s also known as the “Real Venice”; just a few minutes from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. It’s also in the same district as the Ca’ Foscari University and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection You can also easily hop aboard a vaporetto to explore the rest of the city. The hotel offers 144 stylish rooms, decorated in relaxing white and beige, including family rooms, connecting rooms, Junior suites and accessible rooms. Some offer views over the Venetian skyline to St Mark’s bell tower or over the nearby canal. All feature flat-screen TVs, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. The hotel restaurant and bar offer traditional Italian dishes, snacks and salads, as well as an extensive drinks menu, including cocktails and the world-famous NH buffet breakfast.
