Around Erzsébet tér (Elizabeth Square) in the city's busiest districts, everything comes together. During the day it is the hotspot for most tourists, with some important sights like the Great Synagogue. In the evening, all the night-time traffic and nightlife passes through here. Erzsébetváros is a neighbourhood that never sleeps. The former Jewish ghetto stirs 24 hours a day. In every nook and cranny you will find cafés, (ruin) bars, restaurants or small craft shops. It is the 'Vatican for entertainment' in Budapest.
